Academics
Philosophy
At Indy West, our academic approach is deeply rooted in our faith-based principles. We believe education is not only about acquiring knowledge but also nurturing character and values aligned with our Christian faith. Our mission is to provide a holistic education that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and values to excel academically and make a positive impact on the world.
Student Outcomes
Curriculum
Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provide a well-rounded education. While we emphasize core subjects, we also prioritize STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education to prepare students for the modern world. Our goal is to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to excel academically and become positive forces within their communities.

Our Bible curriculum forms the cornerstone of our faith-based education.
Computer Science
We empower students of all ages to harness technology for positive purposes, from typing to coding.
Language Arts
We are committed to nurturing a love for reading, writing, and communication.
Mathematics

Science
We teach the scientific method and emphasize recognizing God’s handiwork in the world around us.
Social Studies
We take students on a journey through history, geography, economics, civics and political science.
Specials
At Indy West, we believe in a well-rounded education that goes beyond the basics. That’s why we offer a diverse range of enriching “specials” to complement our curriculum. From Fine Arts to Physical Education and more, these special programs provide students with opportunities to explore their passions, develop new skills, and broaden their horizons.
Assessment
We employ various assessment methods to closely monitor student progress. These assessments include educational assessments, state testing such as ILEARN and IREAD, and research-based formative assessments like NWEA. To foster open communication, we utilize ParentSquare as a platform for ongoing updates and interactions with parents and guardians. Additionally, quarterly report cards provide detailed insights into student performance.
Modern Classrooms
Our classrooms are designed to be dynamic and engaging. We employ modern educational techniques to keep students actively involved in their learning. With a low student-to-teacher ratio (1:22), personalized attention and support are guaranteed. We also integrate technology into our teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
Licensed Teachers
At Indy West, we believe that teachers are the heart of our educational community. Beyond being licensed to educate in the State of Indiana, our teachers play a pivotal role in shaping our students’ academic and personal growth. They are not just educators; they are mentors who are deeply committed to their craft and the well-being of their students.
Mentors
Mentorship at our school goes beyond traditional teaching methods. Our teachers actively engage with students to provide a safe space for questions, exploration, and personal development. They serve as role models, demonstrating values and behaviors that align with our Christian faith.
Learners
Just as we encourage our students to be lifelong learners, our teachers lead by example. They continually seek opportunities for growth, both personally and professionally. Ongoing training and certification are integral to their commitment to staying current with the latest educational advancements.
Dual Accreditation
Indy West holds dual accreditation from esteemed institutions, reinforcing the quality and credibility of our educational programs. We are accredited by the State of Indiana, the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and Cognia.
