One School
Founded in 1977 as a ministry of Kingsway Christian Church, the Indy West Christian School emerged from the visionary dream of Jan Caldwell, wife of Kingsway’s first Senior Pastor, John Caldwell. Her vision was to create a Christian school offering an excellent, Christ-centered education. With humble beginnings featuring just two teachers and 25 students in first through fourth grades, we’ve stayed true to our mission, growing into a thriving school system.
Nearly a half-century later, we have a new name but the same mission. In 2023, we relocated to Westside Church of the Nazarene and Avon Parkside Church of the Nazarene, extending our commitment to excellence in Christian education. As part of this change, we became an Indianapolis Christian School System. Today, we proudly serve two counties, offering education from Preschool to eighth grade.

Campus Locations
Indy West is conveniently located in both Avon and the Wayne Township area of Indianapolis, providing a comprehensive educational system that includes multiple preschools, elementary schools, and a middle school. We take pride in serving students ranging from PreK through eighth grade.
Westside (Prek-8)
Our main campus located at the Westside Church of the Nazarene in Indianapolis. We offer a well-rounded, faith-based education with a low student-to-teacher ratio.
Parkside (PreK-Kindergarten)
Our preschool and kindergarten in Avon offers a stimulating and enriching environment for young learners to thrive.
Dual Accrediation
Indy West holds dual accreditation from esteemed institutions, validating the quality and credibility of our educational programs. We are accredited by the State of Indiana, the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and Cognia.
