Faculty & Staff

Our teachers, coaches, and staff are often the primary reason families choose ICS – Avon. That is because at ICSS, educators are more than teachers. They are mentors who take the time to get to know their students — their strengths, talents, areas for improvement and who they are as a person — which we make possible through small class sizes. The result is a culture of trusted, lifelong relationships, shaped inside and outside the classroom.

Our staff has over 709 combined years of experience, with 51 degrees. We have 37 certified staff members.

A great many of our teachers are here because they want to give back in light of the investments that have been made in their own families by the community of ICSS.

Kc Myers
K-8 Principal
From an early age, Kc felt a calling to the ministry. As a child, he enjoyed a great diversity of school contexts. Although this was a symptom of belonging to a military family, it gave him an opportunity to personally experience a variety of educational experiences and philosophies, including public, private, Christian, and classical education. While in middle school, Kc recounts a moment when he felt God’s calling into full-time, vocational Christian ministry. He offered himself entirely to the ministry with only one provision: he didn’t feel called to serve as a missionary in China. However, after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Cedarville University (2004), God provided two options, both of which were in China. Unsurprisingly, God had not only changed his circumstances, but his heart as well. For three years, Kc taught English as a foreign language to Chinese nationals, alongside a team of others devoted to the same cause. In 2007, Kc married the woman of his dreams and together they moved to Dallas, Texas. For eight years, Kc served as a third-grade at Trinity Christian Academy. He also served as the Lower School Chapel Coordinator and Team Leader for several years. As his family grew, Kc earned a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary (2013) with an emphasis in Christian Leadership. In 2015, God transplanted his family to serve Him in Avon, Indiana at Kingsway Christian School as Elementary Principal. Kc has since become our K-8th grade Principal. At present, Kc and his wife serve as second grade Sunday school teachers at College Park Church. Their favorite ministry is loving and training their children in the fear and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Kc is currently pursuing a Doctor of Educational Ministry from DTS and enjoys his family, music, shameless puns, strong coffee, and excellent literature.
